Las Mujeres de Pamplona - narrated by Elisabetta Floris

Originally from Italy, Elisabetta lived in Lima, Peru from September 2022 to June 2023. She worked with Superlearner as a full-time volunteer in Pamplona Alta. Her main volunteer activities included facilitating after-school pedagogical and recreational activities for children between four and thirteen years of age. In her daily activities with the children she met many mothers, most of whom had immigrated to the community before their children were born. Elisabetta was interested to know more about these women’s personal stories and why they chose to immigrate to Pamplona Alta. Over the course of several months, she spent time talking with the women and recorded their stories. With the input of two other volunteers, Lindsay and Hector, the words and images of their stories came together. This collection of stories is a testament to their strength, hope, and optimism.
